In June 2020, I debuted my solo album under the artistic alias MELODE. Entitled “Melode 360,” this collaborative project not only showcased my musical journey but also featured the talents of ABJEEZ’s former drummer, Robin Cochrane. With his expertise in African drums and percussion, as well as the contributions of other exceptional musicians from Sweden, we crafted an album that pays homage to the vibrant tapestry of Brooklyn’s Afro-Caribbean scene. Infused with funky rhythms and poetic Persian verses, the album seamlessly blends my Iranian-Swedish heritage with the rich cultural landscape of NYC.
